5 Easy and Quick Styles with Halo Hair Extensions

If you’ve ever searched Instagram for your favorite celebrity or hairstylist and wondered, “how can she style her hair so effortlessly?” Or, “How does she get her hair so long and thick?” The easy answer to those questions is hair extensions.

One of the easiest hair extensions to use are halo hair extensions, and they allow you to quickly change your look from day-to-day. Here are 5 quick and easy styles with halo hair extensions that are perfect for school, work, brunch, or any night out.

How Fast Can I Put in Halo Hair Extensions?

One of the amazing benefits of halo hair extensions is that they can be applied in literally minutes. Halo extensions instantly add volume and length to your hair, without having to tape or clip in multiple wefts or commit to a semi-permanent application.

Halo hair extensions are made with a single strip of hair that is attached to a clear nylon wire, that sits on your head like a halo. Once the halo is put on correctly, the wire is weighted down with your hair on top so that it won’t budge, slip off, or blow off in the wind. The halo kit that you receive in the mail comes with a nylon wire that you will measure to your head to achieve a perfect, custom fit.

All it takes is a few minutes to master any of the following quick and easy styles with halo hair extensions.

  1. Beachy Waves

If you want volume and texture in your hair to give it some oomph, casual beachy waves are your go-to. Since beachy waves are naturally imperfect, this look is easy and quick to achieve since the waves you create shouldn’t be exact and uniform.

Put in your halo extension and create a section just above the nape of your neck, clipping up the rest of the hair. Using a larger curling wand, create loose waves of various sizes. Move up the rest of your hair, creating waves that go both inward and outward towards your face, to create that perfectly imperfect beachy look. You can even leave some of your ends uncurled. Spray with a light hold hair spray or texturizing spray.

  1. Twisted Knot Half-Up Half-Down

This look is simple to create and looks feminine and romantic. Create a section at around your temples on either side of your head as if you are sectioning for a half-up half-down look. Curl all of your hair and gently comb out the curls once they’ve cooled down.

Leaving some hair at the front around your face, take two sections of hair, one of either side of your head. Bring each section to the back and tie them into a loose knot. Secure the knot with bobby pins, gently tugging to make it look larger. Spray with a flexible hold hair spray.

  1. Low Bubble Ponytail

This look takes a simple ponytail up a few notches, while only taking a few minutes to put together.

Start by straightening your hair and your halo hair extension (first applying a heat protectant). Apply your halo hair extension if you haven’t already. Leaving a few pieces of hair around your face, put your hair into a low, sleek ponytail. Use small clear elastic hair ties to tie the second elastic about a quarter of the way down your ponytail. Gently pull at the hair between the two ponies to make it bubble out. Repeat the same step until you have 3-4 “bubbles” down the ponytail.

  1. Double Twisted Braid

This style looks intricate and more complicated than it really is to put together. In only a matter of minutes you can have a totally romantic look perfect for any day out or special evening.

Take a two-inch section of hair from both sides of your head and twist the pieces towards the back. Pin each section together. Take your remaining hair that is down and section it into three pieces for a three-strand braid. Braid all the way down to the ends, securing with an elastic. Gently pull at sections of the braid to make it look thicker.

  1. Boho Half-Up Braid

The boho half-up braid takes a regular half-up half-down style and makes it special.

Put in your halo hair extension and pull half of your hair towards the back, as if you were going to secure it with an elastic for a half-up style. Avoid pulling the hair too tight since we’re going for a looser, boho look. Create a three-strand brand with the half-up hair, allowing it to be loose and a bit messy. Gently tug at a few sections to make it look even thicker. Secure the braid with an elastic and a light hold hair spray.

Some videos in Youtube offer several different ways to achieve this look and make it your own. If you’d prefer to keep it simple and quick, stick with the simple three-strand braid we explain above.
