How long do halo extensions last?

February 05, 2020

With proper care, AmazingBeauty Halo Hair Extensions can last quite a while; anywhere from 6 months to a year. It all depends on how often you wear them and how well you take care of the hair. Because our halo extensions are made from remy hair, they can be colored and styled with heat just like your natural hair. Just be sure to wash them once a week or every couple weeks with a gentle shampoo or one made specifically for hair extensions. When styling with a curling iron or flat iron, be sure to keep the heat setting on the lowest one possible that will still be effective. This ensures that the hair does not become damaged. Halo extensions are made with human hair which means that they can get damaged just as natural hair can. In order to keep them looking their best, you want to be as gentle as possible and treat them just as good as your own hair, if not better.

When washing halo extensions, be sure not to bunch them up. This will make it harder for you to detangle them. They are also extra fragile when being shampooed because just like natural hair, the cuticle is open. When the cuticle of the hair is open, it is more prone to damage because the layers of hair are exposed. If the cuticle becomes damaged from heat styling or neglect, the extensions will end up looking frizzy and dull. This is why taking proper care of halo extensions is essential. The better you care for them, the longer they will last.
