How To Curl Your Hair In Few Minutes

Curls are lovely, but to get them you will have to go through a laborious process. All girls have a complicated relationship with curls, we love them and also hate them, we can't do without them, but we would rather not have them because of their maintenance. Let's just say it's complicated.

The reason we love curls are just so numerous; they give us a beautiful, flawless, bouncy, wavy, and amazing looks. If you're not a natural curl, it's a hard process getting curls for your hair. It's a blessing to be born with natural curls that don't need much styling to achieve its curls.

For those who are not born with natural curls, it looks like a tough mountain to conquer. To achieve curls on your hair there are two techniques; the heatless and the heat-full (it's not a real word).

Heatless curls are achieved by going through curling techniques without using heat styling tools. You've got it, heart-full curls are achieved by using heat styling tools. We highly recommend the heatless techniques overusing heat styling techniques and tools for getting curls as they don't cause damages and harm to your hair.

With that said, let's get curling the heatless way.

Heatless Curls

Let's start with the famous Beach Waves and Curls.

Heatless Curls

The beach waves and curls are one of the easiest and simplest natural curls to make. Let's go through the process.

  • Step 1: The first step is to start the curls the previous night. Curls work best in the heatless technique if you curl them while damp. So, braid your hair while it's still damp the previous night and go to bed. The braid we're going to be using is the French braid.
  • Step 2: Undo your braids and give your hair its natural part. It's sometimes best to follow the natural parting of your hair.
  • Step 3: Add a few curls around the edges with rubber rollers applied to damp hair to give it some structured and textured look.
  • Step 4: Run your fingers through the curls and scrunch them a little, then finish this absolutely lovely curl with a scrunch spray or a hold spray for firmer curls.
  • Step 5: That's it, all you have to do now is step out with those curls on your head.

Let's move away from the Beach waves and curls and look at another simple but crazy curl style - Sock Curls

Sock curls

Sock curls are curls with feet, it's basically all about rolling your hair into your socks to create heatless curls. Let's roll through the process.

  • Step 1: Get your socks. Now, begin by dividing your hair into sections. Use as many socks as you like as long as they are neat and clean, we don't want smelly curls on our head. Roll a sock on each section of the hair, starting from the tip to the root, and tie the sock in a knot.
  • Step 2: Continue this rolling throughout all the sections of your hair.
  • Step 3: Leave it for 30 minutes to an hour and then untie the sock knots to reveal you're amazing curls.

     Simple steps all through.

Next on the list of heatless curls is the beautiful headband curls. Headband curls are curls gotten with the assistance of our favorite hair accessory - the headband.

Headband curls

  • Step 1: Place an elastic headband over your head. Divide your hair into sections.
  • Step 2: Then follow it up by tucking small sections of your hair, over the headband and underneath it. Then grab the next section of your hair and combine it with the first one, repeating the same process.
  • Step 3: Repeat the process over your hair, till you get all the sections over and under the headband.
  • Step 4: Go to bed with the hairstyle and by the time you remove the headband the next day, you'll have effortless and beautiful curls.

Heat Curls

Let's move on to the use of heat techniques to curl your hair.

Bungee Curls

We'll be starting with the bungee curls.

  • Step 1: Since we'll be using heat styling tools, it is highly recommended to first spray the hair with a heat protectant.
  • Step 2: Create your bungee by looping two bobby pins onto either side of a hair tie.
  • Step 3: Gather your hair into a ponytail and stick a pin into one side of the ponytail and wrap the hair tie a few times and finally, secure the second bobby pin in place.
  • Step 4: Curl small sections of your ponytail with a curling iron. Finally, take out your pins and the hair tie and free your bungee curls.

We move on from there to the last curl on our list, the Flat iron pretty waves.

  • Step 1: Get a flat iron and clamp the roots of your hair with the flat iron facing down, then turn it 360 degrees and slowly pull downwards.
  • Step 2: Continue this process till you have all the hairs in a curl and Voila! You're done. Remember to spray with a heat protectant before flat ironing.

That's all, you can start flaunting your hair with those beautiful curls.
